Time for an unforgettable family skiing trip
Gerlitzen Mountain is considered the ideal family skiing region and is Carinthia´s only certified skiing centre for families with children, whether they are new to skiing or just need a refresher course. Comfortable, state-of-the-art ascent facilities, trained experts teaching at the Gerlitzen Ski and Snowboard school, and family-friendly accommodation and restaurants guarantee an unforgettable holiday for all the family on Gerlitzen Mountain.
Time to make learning fun
The first steps are always the hardest - but not on Gerlitzen Mountain! In the three large practice areas on the mountain, with the Kinderland and Snow Bear Land especially for young beginners, learning to ski is easy and great fun into the bargain! Our trained and certified children´s skiing instructors from the Gerlitzen Ski and Snowboard School provide expert guidance for the little ones, and Bino Bear, the singing and dancing Gerlitzen mascot, will keep the kids entertained while their parents swish down the slopes.
Time for freestyling
The Gerlitzen Freeride Area and the Freestyle Park near the summit area of the Klösterle run II offer everything that snowboarders dream of - natural tracks, cornices, curved bos, XXL-Kicker, rails and deep snow rides for all age groups and energy levels!

Time for relaxing
Gerlitzen Mountain is the perfect location for experiencing the magic of cosy mountrain huts, with great music and Carinthian specialties. Choose between a "sun bed" directly on the mountain or accommodation around Gerlitzen Mountain, for instance on the shores of Lake Ossiach, in Arriach-Klösterle, Afritz-Verditz, the city of Villach, the Warmbad-Villach spa, or on the shores of Lake Wörth or Lake Faak. From five-star hotels to traditional mountain huts, we cater for all tastes and bugets.
Time for early risers
During the holidays, the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn cable car line opens as early as 8:15am - the perfect opportunity to be among the day´s first skiers on the best slopes in the heart of Carinthia! Save time when driving
The region´s most important motorways - the A2, A10, and A11 - are all situated in the immediate vicinity of Gerlitzen Mountain, Carinthia´s most central skiing hub. Gerlitzen Mountain is also well connected to the public transport system and lies within easy reach of Klagenfurt Airport, which is a mere 25-minute car jourey away. Many accommodation providers will be happy to organise a transfer for you.
